Dunns Corners Elementary School Receives Green Ribbons School Award
We were thrilled to learn that Dunns Corners Elementary School in Westerly recently received a Green Ribbon Schools Award from the U.S. Department of Education. The district was honored to partner with Mystic STEM Mentoring RI, Ayers Foundation and staff members Tabitha Goins and Christina Haise and others at Dunns Corners Schools to offer afterschool programming and enrichments in the school’s garden which helped towards earning this distinguished award. Dunns Corners School also participates in conservation efforts such as composting and recycling programs as well as an energy audit and the installation of water saving dispensers throughout the school.
